About Us

Well ... the About Us page is really about me and why I've put this site together.

I've been a snap happy photographer for a long time. I started with a class in high school and haven't stopped since.

I have photographed my kids through different stages of their lives and in between and family and friends.

I have had the pleasure of photographing special occasions such as weddings, first birthdays, senior pictures, babies, and more.

Photography for me is a creative form of art. I find it fulfilling and very satisfying to find what inspires me, photograph it, and share with others. I take my vision and create precious memories and capture moments that will last through time.

I did not get a degree in photography. Through life experiences, studying the work of other photographers, books and classes, a huge amount of passion for what I do, and a lot of experimenting; I have grown as a photographer.

I grew up in front of the lens as my dad snapped photo after photo of our family while on vacations, special occasions and events.

We had to stand still for what seemed like hours so my Dad got that perfect picture he wanted; boy, I think that sentence just made me sound old?

Well .... all that time in front of the camera is why you will most often find me behind the lens now!! Whew.

I did grow up with artistic family members which I believe has influenced me and how I see the pose I want, the background I want, and the ability to understand how the camera works.

As a versatile photographer I have many studio locations. I might be driving down the road, see a spot I think would work great for a photo shoot, take out my handy pen, write down the location and directions for future use, and let me tell you I'm glad I wrote them down as I've visited them quite a few times.

I started this website so family and friends had a place to find answers to their questions about cameras and photography. I have tried to keep it simple.

I have added a gallery of some of my work to be viewed, free downloads for anyone to use, and links to some of my favorite sites.
