Photo Processing Services and Reviews

Review of Online Photo Processing Services

Being a photographer is more than just taking pictures, you will eventually want to print them out.

If you own a good quality printer and print your own photos; as I usually do, but don't want to hassle with printing a large quantity of photos, online photo processing services is the way to go.

If you don't own a printer or your printer isn't quite good enough to provide you with quality prints of your photos, this is definitely the way you will end up going.

Photo Processing Services.

At the bottom of the page we list the top four online photo processing services.

Our goal with the reviews we have for you is to help you decide which online photo processing service(s) you may want to use. We have selected the top four online photo processing services.

These reviews are based on our honest opinion after we have gone thorough the process of having our photos printed.

We hope to give you enough information so you can make a well informed decision about where you will have your your treasured memories taken to be printed.

One thing to note about using online photo processing services - most of them offer some kind of special for your first order of 50 or more prints. Some may offer your first 50 prints at a discount or your first 50 prints free then you pay for taxes and shipping. Not a bad deal. The numbers of free photos will vary depending on who you use, time of year, etc.

So whoever you end up choosing to print your digital pictures, check for a special offer or special promotion they may be running before you order your prints.

Share Sites for Photos & Videos.

Something else worth mentioning are the websites we reviewed also offer what they call Share Sites or something similar. Share sites are free and they are easy to make and maintain. These sites are privacy controlled so family members or group members can privately share pictures and videos.

Why is this worth mentioning? Well if you have family across the country, you can start a share site, create albums and videos, upload them for all your members to see and visa versa! Then print photo books, pictures, whatever you want. At the time of this writing, you additionally get X amount of free prints when signing up for a share site.

Not only can you share photos and videos but you can also create a calendar of events, send emails to all members of the site when changes are made and more. We have a baseball share site where the roster is listed, a list for who is scheduled to bring snacks on what day, calendar with games, photos and more. It's very handy!

Keep in mind with most of these types of websites you are required to make a purchase at least once a year to be able to take advantage of photo storage, sharing, and other free services they offer.

Other Advantages of Online Photo Sites.

One advantage is you don't have to leave the house, you can upload pictures from your computer to the online photo processing service you've selected. Another advantage are the special offers you receive throughout the year. At the time of this writing, I received a coupon for 100 free prints for a Mother's Day special and if I can't use it - someone else can.

Because we signed up for these sites to review them, we still have them and although we do most of our own printing we still use them occasionally for ourselves and other family members to take advantage of the special offers.
