Walgreen's Photo Processing Review
Walgreen's Online Photo Processing Review:
If you don't have an account with Walgreen's online photo processing services; it's very easy to do.
Once you've created your account your taken to a page where you can create a photo album and start uploading your photos.
Ordering Prints Online from Walgreen's.
Once you have uploaded the photos to be printed, it is very easy to review and make any necessary changes prior to having them printed.
After the upload process we were taken to a page and presented with a book of our photos. Here we could review the pictures, share them with friends and family, and order prints.
When we were reviewing our pictures, we had various options to create gifts such as:
- photo books
- stationery
- photo CDs
- cards and more.
During the reviewing process; if desired, we could also edit the pictures by adding or fixing them. The extra service that Walgreen's offer (and there is no charge for this) are:
- adding borders
- adding captions
- enhancing pictures
- fixing red eye
- changing the color of your picture; for example changing from color to black and white or sepia.
When we were ready to place our order, the selection was fast and easy. You can either select them all or just the ones you want by clicking on the image. Then select "add to cart".
Pros.
We really liked the checkout process as each individual picture is shown with the size you ordered (in our case, the standard 4 x 6 photo prints on glossy paper). If at this point you have decided on ordering a different size photo in addition to the standard size, all you have to do is enter the number photos you want next to the size and update your cart. Very easy and nice.
If you have a Walgreen's near you, it's worth it to drive to the store and pick up your photos. If you have them mailed you will be paying a price per print to have them mailed to you.
We also like the option (when picking our prints up at the store) for paying for our photos when we picked them up. No messing around with getting your credit card out.
Cons.
The only thing I can say that I personally did not like - was after adding my pictures to be printed to the shopping cart, we were presented with an offer for an 8 x 10 collage of the prints we were ordering. I don't like these because if your someone who is not very knowledgeable about online shopping, you can end up ordering something you don't want for an "X" amount of dollars. Be sure to read everything and if your presented with a pop up offer like this, there is usually a "no thanks" link at the bottom of the page and you'll continue on with the checkout process.
Walgreen's Online Service Results.
When we placed our online order with Walgreen's we had the option of picking up our photos later in the day (same day as we ordered our prints) or to pick them up the next day. We selected to pick up the prints the next day. Later in the evening, the same day as we ordered our prints, I checked email and I had already received an email from Walgreen's letting me know my photos were ready to be picked up. Now that is really fast service.
Some might think this is just too fast to be good service (I might have had that thought also), but after I picked up our photos, I was extremely surprised at how good they looked. The prints were just as I had uploaded them. The were bright and clear with good colors and on nice photo paper. We were very pleased.
Will we use the Walgreen's Online Photo Processing Service again - you bet!
